Kidlington to Stockton

May 2005

The spring half-term week marked the 40th anniversary of the Mack Family's first canal trip.
In 1965 John and June, with David (then age 7) and Sarah (5) hired Blue Peter from
Blue Line Cruisers at Braunston.

That trip seems very leisurely in comparison to the way we boat now.
In a week we travelled along the southern Oxford Canal to a point just south of Banbury and back.

40 years later we met up again for a day on the Southern Oxford - John and June, with David and Sarah and their families. We travelled from Kidlington to Aynho, then David's family continued on to Stockton.
